At 18 years of age I left home to work for year at Lake Louise in the beautiful Rockies and that is when it all began! After taking year-long leaves from my places of employment, I decided to go to school for Travel and Tourism at Westervelt College and cure this love I had for travel by being able to talk to others and help them book their travel.
In 2006-2007 I moved to the UK on a 2 year working holiday visa and spent 1 year in London, and 1 year in Brighton. This was my first real culture shock away from home and I loved every minute of it! During this time I took a 48-day /18 country Contiki trip through Europe (18-30 year olds). It was the longest trip they offered at the time and let me tell you nothing can prepare you for this! I will never regret how much I saw and experienced on this trip.
In 2008 I moved to Australia on a 1 year work visa and explored the Gold Coast but spent most of my time in North Tropical Queensland in a town called Port Douglas where I met some friends and before I knew it was on a sailing crew, participating in 2 Australian Regattas. This was unimaginable to me and still is as I had never before sailed!
In 2010 I moved to Toronto and started working in the travel industry with Transat Holiday / Nolitours / Jonview and Corporate Traveller before making the move to return to my native roots in Huron County where I hope to share my love of travel, my experiences and knowledge to make your vacation dreams come true!
